17. Bed And Understated 330 am

Everyday
is the same
but I still wait

and I'm not
staying still
but I still wait

I'm not hiding
my scars
they're just
too deep in
to be seen

If you put your hand
over my chest
one more time
you will feel

You may think
I'm gone
but I'm not

I never left
I never will

Because our strings
are so tangled up
in this beautiful mess
that nothing
can undo

You may think
you heard my voice
in the next aisle
at the supermarket

You may think
you've just seen me
in the shadow
of a passer-by

You may think
you felt my hand
on your shoulder
while waiting on a line

Inside me
it's still
raining in lo-fi

Until I see
the sun
shinning
through
your smile

Clearing
strangers out
between the
clouds

at the end
of this cliff
again

16. Nevermind the gap

Trapped in

Locked in
the vast outside

You are my home

And I can't go inside
My keys don't seem to work
Someone changed the lock
From inside

You're my isle
and I'm wandering off
in the infinite sea

So I spend my days
searching
for signs
in your songs

Making utopian
schemes
to try
and decipher
unexisting codes

I let my thoughts
go out at night
into the streets
to look for you

An army of me
trying to get through
to you

Looking under
each pebble
on the beach

Behind every
street light shadow
in which we hid

Looking
for vestiges
of our reflection
in all the mirrors
they see

I even look for hints
in my memories
of you

Rewinding
the VHS cassette
of our short film
over and
over
again

Trying to find things
you said
and that
might have missed

Inevitably
time
makes us regret
the things
we took for granted

But
I say to myself
as long as I keep looking
the dream
is not over

Hasn't this been
a dream
all along,
anyway, Milady?

That time I said
It'll never be the end
I already knew

We're in
a constant
loop
that always takes me
back to you

Our minds
seem to be scammed
by our body's
perception
of time

And though I'm not looking
for sympathy
or reassurance

Next time
please raise up
among
the faceless crowd

Look
deep into my eyes
and tell me
our hearts
are not

15. Still waiting on the tangent of that street

I hate that yellow spotlight on the ceiling
cos it's not pouring over your hair
And the fan lifts a little bit of curtain
but it's not you that's behind

I hate the buttons on your blue shirt

when all I want to do is tear
Won't you come pick up the boxes
full images you left in my mind

I hate that stoned wall you're sinking in

the same one I held you against
Now is taking you away from me
like sand creeping through my hands

I hate that it just started raining

and I can only see you through your songs
The sky turned orange, the day is blue
time kept still since you're gone
